Chess Express is a unique organization that connects with youth to assist in learning and critical thinking processes.  We stress the benefits of chess.  Anyone who is skeptical about this can go online and just Google the words “benefits of chess” and get a host of information.  



We have already heard from doctors and researchers that some of the people that play chess have already started to improve in their ability to have patience with themselves enough to begin thinking and reasoning better and at much improved levels.

Benefits of Playing Chess Include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Improved memory, reasoning and thinking

  • Improved social skills

  • Visualization skills

  • Aiding in Students that have been diagnosed with ADD and ADHD

  • Instilling life skills by teaching children to plan ahead

  • Teaching them the results of their actions if planning is not properly done

  • All of this results in Good Life Skills.

Our Staff



Our staff are very accomplished chess players and coaches. We have a number of Chess Masters available for questions from students and parents in and outside of the classes.  

 

The Owner, David Hill Jr. is also an accomplished chess player, specializing in "One Minute Speed Chess."  David has been playing chess since he was eight years of age and was in many tournaments at that age as well.

 

Chess Express is proud to have the instructors and staff that care about the intellectual and educational wellbeing of all children.
